      General Info
      Established in 1999In November of 1964 Dr. John Unfred started an optometry practice from scratch in downtown Springfield. In 1973, he moved his practice into a suite in the brand new Springfield Professional Center complex located on Centennial Blvd. He continued to practice for over two decades. Due to failing health, Dr. Unfred was forced to retire early. Dr. Cleveland bought the practice in the fall of 1999 with hopes to serve Dr. Unfred's patients while growing the practice in the 21st century. In 2001 the office name was changed to Complete Vision Center. The year 2012 became an exciting year for Complete Vision Center to grow. First, Dr. Cleveland added an associate, Dr. Nicole Crossland, to the practice. Second, Complete Vision Center moved to downtown Springfield, following the purchase of Dr. Winona Firth's practice. Following extensive remodeling, Dr. Cleveland and staff moved to 840 A Street in February of 2013. They are happy to now serve the community within their new facility.

      Complete Vision Center specializes in comprehensive eye exams for both children & adults, as well as contact lens fitting, and diagnostic testing. We offer a wide range of designer frames, and our highly qualified frame & lens specialist and staff are able to adjust and fit your glasses to you for optimal optics and comfort. We believe there are differences in eyecare, and we strive to keep our patients informed. We invest in personal relationships with our patients to ensure quality care for a lifetime of healthy eyes and clear vision.

      Complete Vision Center is committed to giving back to our local community, and we strive to work with companies who show the same commitment. Since 1999, Complete Vision Center has been giving care to those in our neighborhood who utilize outreach and volunteer programs. Complete Vision Center provides full eye health examinations, diabetic examinations, as well as eyeglasses through programs such as the Lions Clubs of Springfield and Mohawk, Volunteers in Medicine, and Whitebird.
