This used to be THE best place to get donuts. Now it's 'typical', nothing special at all. I think they changed how they make their donuts. It's a shame used to be handmade from scratch, melt in your mouth, now same old tough crap you get anywhere. Would drive 30 minutes to get these... now I wouldn't drive 3 minutes to get them. Not bad, just, why go out of the way when you can get the same thing at Krogers or Meijers? Sad because for (at least) 45 years this was THE place to get donuts, now... why bother|? I still stop in if I'm in the area (dentist is near there and we meet family nearby to 'eat out' at restaurants in the area) But again, only if it take 4 minutes or less, just in case they have reverted to the best way to make them, so far... no. Also, the staff used to be focused on the customer, now it seems customers are such a bother!

I'd prefer to tell the owners directly but since I can't find a contact, this is my best option. Been a loyal customer since the 70's even tho we live in Dayton. Bought cakes, baked goods, etc. for many different functions. The visit yesterday ($25.,78 spent) was at least 50% waste. The cake is fine as usual, but the baked goods (4 different kinds) were day old merchandise at best and sold as fresh product. After driving home, we had high expectations but my husband had to dunk his in coffee o "soften" them and I just pulled all edges off because I don't dunk. This was a huge disappointment and it will be quite awhile before we even CONSIDER trying Schuler's again. We certainly can't rave to friends that it's worth the drive any longer if this is the quality we get as consumers.

the doughnuts and cookies are very good , but the people who work there are just plain rude, i go out of my way to the one on derr road because every time i have ever went into e main i got attitudes from everyone so i prefer the one on derr

They make the best donuts and cakes you will every eat. They have been in business for years. Great service. Great people. If you want donuts,cakes or cookies, Schuler's is the only place to go.
