      Dr. Katie McElvaine is the optometrist of Springfield Family Vision in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Katie is seventh generation Springfieldian and attended Glendale High School. She then went on to the University of Missouri where she graduated with a degree in biological sciences. Dr. Katie earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree at the University of Missouri Saint Louis College of Optometry. Dr. Katie has been very involved in the Missouri Optometric Association at the local and state level. For 3 years, she served as the local trustee on the Missouri Optometric Association board. Presently, she is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Greater Ozarks Optometric Society. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, Ocular Nutrition Society and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She is active in her community and belongs to a numerous organizations including the governing board of Junior League of Springfields, the Ozark Rotary Club, Springfield Chamber of Commerce, and Ozark Chamber of Commerce. Besides Dr. Katies passion of seeing patients, she loves spending time outdoors, traveling, playing with her daughter Grace, and hanging with her family and friends.
