The company s stores, catalog and Web site, which receives more than 2 million visitors each year, together offer more than 110,000 items, including fishing rods, reels, baits, lures, rainwear, sunglasses, watercraft, guns, tree stands, cutlery, arching equipment, hunting clothing, decoys, electronics, tents, sleeping bags, metal detectors and radios. John Morris founded Bass Pro Shops in 1972. The company has headquarters in Springfield, Mo., and operates stores in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
