I have been in the aquarium game for 25 yrs a least.I have even seen this shop change hands a few times and can say it is the best it has ever been. They Cater to the ethusiast freshwater, and marine hobbiest . If you want angel fish in a big box store, they
might be more to your liking. Those of us that have a passion for the hobby thank god for a shop like this.

Selection is pretty basic, angelfish were my goal but they only sell common varieties and refuse to order any (even upon payment up front). They knew of a lady who bred them locally but refused to give me her name or order any fish for me.



I then tried to order some plants, they told me they would call me 6 different times and each time they completely blew me off. No apologies, no offers to make it right, just a "deal with it or go else where" kinda mentality. I like to build a relation with my LFS but this store is not the place to do this.



I will say they do have healthy fish, I did get some basic short fin angels to cycle my tank and none were sick. They even dose their tanks to prevent any sickness which is really cool.



I wont be doing business with them anymore but if you don't want petsmart's "50% death rate" and don't mind paying an extra dollar or two a fish then they will work.

Highly recommend this place, they have good friendly service, locally the best selection ive seen, healthy fish, and awesome prices. The owner can also answer about any question you have on aquatics.They also have a good rainbow and killifish selection!!! So far this is the only store ive visited in MO to even carry killifish. Have not had one fish or plant die thats been purchased from here. Hands down the best tropical fish store in Springfield. A must visit for any local aquarium enthusiasts.

The only place to buy fish for serious fishkeepers. Lots of rare cichlids.
