Founded in 1979, Hawthorn Services offers various support services and programs to adults and their families. It offers a 24-hour residential program and a range of in-home and clinical services. Located in Chicopee, Mass., the center provides outreach and home support services to independently living senior citizens diagnosed with mental illness. It includes several adult day health centers and support groups at local council on aging and senior centers. The center provides various community outreach programs that offer support, education and therapies to individuals. Its nursing and clinical staff offers assistance with daily living activities, money management, medication administration and socialization. The center provides a range of therapeutic services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapies.
