Deceptive practice: I called and scheduled an appointment early this week for friday march 16, 2012. When I scheduled appointment I specifically stated I needed un schedule an appointment for eye exam and to get a year supply of contact lenses. I arrive at their office on prairie crossing in Springfield illinois. I went and told receptionist I was here to check in for my eye exam and stated I needed a year supply of contacts. I went and had exam. The doctor said ready to go. After exam I was ready to get my year supply of contact lenses. The tech told me no, she then stated the policy there was had to wait a week for a follow up appointment (deceptive practice) any medical facility is required to give copies of and discuss policies prior to any exam or treatment. This policy legally was required to be given to me before my examination but they waited until afterwards in order to force a 2nd visit for a second bill. So I asked for a manager. I asked the manager for my contacts she refused. So I asked for my prescription she refused to give me that too. So I asked for a refund she then refused to refund my bill. So I had to pay money for a service and a needed prescription I never received. I would advise anyone and everyone to go to a different eye clinic instead of vision care associates.
