Jay Walls, MD is a physician specializing in hematology and medical oncology at the Prisma Cancer Institute-Upstate. He provides care and treatment to patients with benign and malignant blood disorders. He subspecializes in clotting and bleeding disorders and champions Prisma Healths efforts at blood conservation. He also treats patients with solid malignancies. Dr. Walls earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and a fellowship in oncology and hematology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Dr. Walls is board certified in his specialties and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society, the Anticoagulation Forum, International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis and the American Society of Hematology.
