The only apple certified place in Springfield IL is the last place on earth you would want to take your apple computer. My mother took her 2 year old macbook in for service at Micropower, it was shutting down randomly. They said they would take a look at it and contact them in the morning. When coming in to pick it up they charged her over $60 to tell her that the ?Logic board is bad?. I then told her to send me the macbook and i will do the work needed as Micropower was going to charge $600+ for a $249 logic board. I got the macbook and let it run the needed updates by clicking the apple then ?Software Update? her computer was fixed, it costed NOTHING to fix it. Micropower was guessing. They did not even preform the most basic task to see if that would help, all they had to do was click ?Software Update?. Don?t take your Apple to Micropower.
