Drove out from Houston to eat here. The atmosphere was great, the service was fine, the musician was good but that was it. The food was entirely forgettable. The cheeseburger I had was only average and I could barely taste the cheese. The onion rings were good but they were way too greasy. The chicken fried steak was large but the gravy was greasy, too, and that was a problem because it was only lukewarm. The meat was tenderized and turned out to be grainy. I made the mistake of ordering the whiskey chocolate cake with ice cream. The cake was very dry and the ice cream was runny. This concoction was a disaster. Driving to Old Town Spring is a pleasure but we will never go back there to eat at Wunche Brothers.
