      General Info

      The Dance Center of Spokane is on the the south hill and focuses on fun yet careful training for all ages. We have been serving the community for over 30 years. Now Introducing Kindermusic with Dustin Sorrell! from infancy to 5 years old we have a Kindermusic class for you. The Ballet program has teachers that are all either registered teachers of the Royal Academy of Dance or are in our Teacher Training Program. The syllabus emphasizes age appropriate training with special care to develop the dancer correctly in relation to what their bodies can handle as they grow. At the end of each level students get a chance to present their work to a visiting examiner. This program meets the needs of students who want to dance recreationally, or for the student who may want to pursue a career in Ballet, either as a teacher or a professional dancer. We have a nonprofit Ballet Company, Spokane Ballet Ensemble*, to further our students' performing and theater experiences. The Tap program offers the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus. This exciting endeavor follows along the same body awareness guidelines of the ballet program. The performance classes are expanding down to age 6. These groups travel and perform throughout the year. We also have a strong Adult Tap program. The Jazz program follows a syllabus created by Ciara Murano-Steele. All the teachers have been trained in this syllabus. We offer classes in Jazz, Lyrical and Modern. As well as training young students we have a strong Adult program! Hip Hop is going strong! We offer performance classes! Also we are offering Pom, Dance, Drill classes for for the future dance team and cheer leaders. Our tumbling curriculum includes Tap n' Tumble, Ballet and Tumble, and Mom and Me. Call or email us today.
