The Roads and Bridges department offers utility permit and asphalt resurfacing inspection solutions. The department is responsible to construct and develop roads and bridges. It also performs several road maintenance activities, such as pothole patching, shoulder ditching and cutting, and road dirt scraping and gaveling. The Roads and Bridges department is responsible for mowing grasses and weeds, as well as preparing roads for paving. In addition, the department provides maintenance and installation solutions for road and bridge signs. It is managed by the Department of Public Works, which is governed by Spartanburg County Government in South Carolina. The Roads and Bridges department cuts trees and limbs.
