Some people shouldnt review!!!

I just read a review on your page and it was crazy!!! Saying they bring in the food from ny and just heat it. Absolutely untrue my family goes there every weekend for dinner and we go into the kitchen ant talk to the chef and see them take raw food and cook it from scratch!! Also I would like to inform yhe previous reviewer that pork shank does not have marrow to suck out of it!! Good luck Tanti Baci my family and friends thoughly enjoy our dinning experience at your restaurant!!

Food is just heated up at this restaurant - who are they fooling??? Truly disappointing!

I have gone to this restaurant twice - once last year and this past weekend and the food quality and presentation were unacceptable. The first time I went I ordered the osso bucco and the marrow of the bone was frozen and the meat around the bone was cold. I was with a group of 8 people and the only food that was edible was the salad. At that time I vowed never to eat at this restaurant again. This past weekend I went back to this restaurant for a dinner party. The food was still frozen! I felt really bad for our friends that had their party here - having to pay top dollar for over 50 people to eat garbage. I ordered steak that was raw in the middle - cold raw - and medium well done around the outside and charred on top. It came with seasoned veggies that were cold and raw. Nothing like a nice crunchy raw carrot that spent about 10 seconds in the pan. When we asked the waitress she was kind and apologetic - but she knew that this food was prepared elsewhere - probably the NYC restaurant and trucked to Sparta. Other people at my table ordered the fish and the chicken marsala and both were inedible. The chicken was in a very sweet sauce and the chicken was horrible. The people at our table that had the fish took one bite and would not eat more. The kitchen is visible from the restaurant and our suspicions were correct. We saw the chef taking food out of the frig - already prepared and throwing it on the grill to heat it up. I do not think anything was prepared at this restaurant. The kitchen had no staff other than the chef. The only other employees in the restaurant are the waitresses. If you are looking for a well cooked meal - don't eat here! If you like Hungry Man frozen meals or have no clue about good food then this is your restaurant. The owners of this restaurant should be ashamed to put their name to this restaurant and to charge top prices for frozen food. I did not want to give a star - I wanted to leave it blank - but a rating of at least one star is required.

Friday night

after a late arrival - almost 9:00pm - there was only one other table left and single guitar player - playing simple soothing- mellow music- we were greeted nd moved to a comfortable table - room temp bread and oil was brought to us - which sent up some concerns most bead is usually alittle warm- well from there i have to say it had to be one of the tastiest meal we have had in a long time - Onion soup - served in a square bowl cheese and bread were melted together and placed into a savory broth - this broth was not your typical beef broth - it possibly had a dash brandy or cognac which set it aside from any onion soup i have ever had- I had the Salmon which was cover in a muster sauce -OMG the fish was large enough for take home and the taste was savory wit this i ordered the sautéed spinach -which cooked to perfection - just the right amount of garlic and not biter- my dinner partner had one of the specials - Stuffed chicken which was also tasty served w/ mash potatoes - also enough for take home -

we will be back - good luck - and the guitar player deserves a medal for being able to taking the edge off of 2 business people on a friday night

Nice place with friendly staff. Unfortunately the food was lacking. The bread was hard and served cold. I had the Osso Boco which was fall off the bone tender but had no flavor at all. Even the mashed potatoes were bland.

Thought it was great!! A good date place. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and knowledgable. The owner comes out of the kitchen and chats with the customers; kind of like a little piece of little italy right in Sparta.WE had the osso bucco and homemade mushroom raviloli with a pesto sauce... very good.
