Let's see, first there were the delays, then there were the multitude of excuses and not bothering to evenshow up on the scheduled days-- but the demands for money were always on time and quite aggressive.We were illegally prodded into writing checks for things BEFORE they were done, then we were given "change orders" that were expensive and illegal due to the fact that it is illegal to present a change order without first getting that change order agreed to and signed to by the client. Southbury did not care about the law. To add insult to injury, after we moved in, we hired a local electrician who discovered that two fire hazards were caused by the negligence of this company: 1.) They used indoor pot lights for an EXTERIOR overhang, and the pot lights have written on the can for indoor use only and that they should not be touching insulation batting. Huge liability. 2.) illegally installed interior wall sconces with NO proper electrical back in the wall. Fire hazard. Many issues.
