The Southaven Fire Department offers a range of programs and services to protect the lives and property of citizens in Southaven, Miss. It provides various emergency and nonemergency services to the public. The department offers services through its divisions, including administration, fire prevention, operations and emergency medical services. It fire prevention division inspects new and existing buildings for fire code compliance, conducts plan reviews and enhances public safety through fire and life safety education in schools, homes and businesses. Additionally, it investigates the causes of fires and related incidents and works with law enforcement officials to reduce the incidence of arson in the community. The department s operations division provides fire protection and customer service to the community through the delivery of specialized technical rescue operations, hazardous material incident control measures and advanced emergency medical services response.
