Lewis and Clark Elementary offers a range of educational programs to more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, English, mathematics, science and social studies. The school maintains a library and media center that features a collection of books and reference and instructional materials. It also employs over 15 staff members, including a counselor, reading teachers, custodians and food services workers. The school administers the English as a Second Language program. Located in South Sioux City, Neb., it provides food and health services. In addition, Lewis and Clark Elementary is a part of South Sioux City Community Schools, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools.
