Founded in 1973, Greater Portland Christian School is a private, Christian school that offers learning opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school s campus includes a fully equipped science laboratory and gymnasium. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, science, social studies, fine arts, computer literacy, physical education, foreign languages and mathematics. The school offers sports sessions in soccer, basketball, track and field and baseball. Greater Portland Christian School provides extracurricular activities, including drama club, high school chorus and yearbook development. Its qualified seniors are eligible to participate in the University of Maine Early College Distance Education Program. The school also competes in events, such as spelling bees, math meets, and musical and creative writing competitions. Greater Portland Christian School is located in South Portland, Maine.
