About Our Practice Legacy Orthopaedics is an orthopedic surgery practice located in Miami, Florida, and led by board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist Thomas Riley IV, MD. Dr. Riley strives to give his patients the best possible outcome for their musculoskeletal injuries and pain and get them back to a comfortable level of physical activity. Dr. Riley earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before completing residency training in orthopedic surgery at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. He also completed fellowship training in sports medicine through the Miami Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Institute in Coral Gables, Florida. Throughout his career, Dr. Riley has served as a team physician with multiple sports teams, including at the professional level. He has covered training camps and games for the Miami Dolphins, the Miami Heat, Florida International University sports, and Marshall University football, among others. He was even the 2016 Orange Bowl team physician. Today, Dr. Riley continually uses his skill, compassion, and background to provide exceptional orthopedic care at Legacy Orthopaedics. He frequently performs minimally invasive surgery with arthroscopy on the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle. Dr. Riley also uses robotic surgery to treat sports injuries, cartilage injuries, and various other joint conditions. Additionally, he offers state-of-the-art platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and stem cell therapy. Legacy Orthopaedics is currently accepting new patients.
