Came on a trip to Tahoe and stumbled upon this great restaurant. Best Indian I've had!!

I have never had indian cuisine, this place was clean, the food was delicious, and they were very friendly.I will definetly go back.

My parents live in Lake Tahoe and I have been coming to TAJ for about 10 years. I always make time for at least 2 visits to TAJ per trip. I live in WA state and Indian cuisine is on every other block and the TAJ has them beat by miles. The staff is always friendly and the food is AMAZING! There is something great on the menu for everyone.

I am Indian, My name is Ashish Pandey, I am Basically from Mumbai ,india and I regularly have Indian food outside. I've been to other Indian restaurants in the area and had a decent experience ,I wanted the best Indian food for my wedding because my Wife's parents are from India and we picked in this Indian Restaurant in down town because we have tried many Indian restaurants and we found this restaurant to be the best amongst the lot. The on site tandoor with exceptional decoration and live sitar and tabla music and buffet setup we loved it all. When we went to the restaurant to settle the bill we were asked to share our experience with others and I thought of writting on the net. I can not thank anymore when I told the owners to give special attantion because I want my mother in law to be impressed and she was really impressed and I am glad we picked this indian restaurant to cater the wedding.The customer service was great.

My husband and I are from Napa, CA and have tried many, many Indian food restaurants. This one is by far one of the very best we've ever had. We wish we lived closer to Tahoe! The Manager was very nice and even gave us an entree "on the house" that we were ordering that wasn't out on the buffet cart. Very good service, and the BEST food around. Try the sag paneer too, you won't be disappointed! Mmmmm!
