The South Haven Police Department provides law enforcement services to the citizens of South Haven, Mich. The department employs more than 20 sworn officers, including dispatchers, sergeants and patrol officers. It also employs school resource and community policing officers. The South Haven Police Department maintains a patrol division that is responsible for the preliminary investigation of calls for service and crime prevention, as well as maintaining law and order. It conducts initial investigations, gathers evidence and arrests law violators. The department also maintains an investigation division that handles cases related to burglary, theft, homicide, children exploitation, robbery and rape.
