Went in for the first time and WOW! This place is amazing! The best selection of fish and coral anywhere! All tanks are very clean and livestock very healthy. Just started a reef tank several months ago. Purchased a few live coral and fish from Poseidon and they are all exceptionally healthy. Staff is great. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely be back for more eye candy. --- Bob and Susan

This place is a Pig Pen, the dirtiest fish store I have ever been in, and all their dirty aquariums have a tremendous amount of green & brown algae growing in them, and if you buy corals or fish from them, your aquarium will have green & brown algae growing in your tank. You all know that algae is very bad, and it can take over your aquarium, and these people just don't care if they give you that disease ! ! !

First of all they do have a good selection, but the tanks are VERY DIRTY, and all the tanks have green and brown algae all over the place, and all the corals have green and brown algae on them, and when you buy a coral you will bring that dam algae to your tank, Not good at all.

After getting out of the hobby for over 10-years, this week I purchased a 55 gallon tank and complete set-up from Poseidon - awesome service from a very knowledgeable staff. From lighting suggestions to filtration and installation advise, I was most impressed.



The staff is friendly and attentive - very helpful in every regard - and took the time to answer questions and provide alternatives.



Given the fact that nothing about aquarium keeping is inexpensive, it's important to shop with experienced folks who know their business. You can trust the good people at Poseidon.

Will sell u sick fish knowingly to make a buck and will not refund,don't waste your money.Their customer service is horrid and I don't know how they are still in business.

This place is for real! The people that give this place a bad rap are either to ignorant to realize how to properly take care of a tank, or they are just the competition trying to take some business away. I have been to ALL the shops and have multiple tanks. Believe me when I say that this store is BY FAR the best around. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are the best in town, best selection of both freshwater and saltwater fish. Live corals are absolutely beautiful. Don't take my word for it, go in and take a look for yourself. Once you go in your hooked and overwhelmed by all the supplies and beautiful livestock. All the staff is very knowledgeable. They will not guide you wrong. In fact, they will not sell you anything just to make a sale.

Don't bother going here, they may have a bigger store but lack the personality to have customer service, There are better shops nearby that are way more helpful. I had tried to give them a chance as I don't believe all the reviews but what a mistake I made. I had a fish die from them and then took a water sample to see if it was "my fault". Unaware to them I had it tested elswhere prior to going to them and it checked out just fine. I had according to them, high levels of Amonia and Nitrates,this was NOT tru at all, as I also tested it at home using the same kit they used, also they said may salinity was .127 and was high. The only thing that was high, well, was maybe a false reading so they wouldn't have to replace a fish. Well over a $16.00 fish I will stay up at another more honest shop forever, Go if you must, but be warned.

The best aquarium store in the area and beyond. Worth the trip from anywhere you are coming from. A large selection of everything you want for aquarists. They have saltwater, freshwater, equipment and supplies. I found so many products that I can't find anywhere else, and they have good prices on stuff. Large selection of fish and corals, and lots of turnover, so every time you go there they have different stuff. It's never the same selection. Try it once and you'll keep going back for more.

I have had great experiences with this store. The livestock is incredibly healthy. I think the prices are great too. If you compare them with other local stores they are definately cheaper. The gentleman that owns the store is very nice and knowledgeable. The wife is a little stand offish, although nice. I will continue to do business with them as the quality and health of the store is obvious.

this place is AMAZING!!!!! first, please do not let the outside of this place discourage you. it may look like some regular little corner shop, but there is a lot in store for you. its called Poseidon Aquarium, but should be called Poseidon's Treasure. i am just getting started with buliding an all natural saltwater tank.all the employees were very friendly. i had Rob help me. he was very patient, spending about an hour an a half with me explaining everything i need to do to get started, and the place was very busy. he was very informative!!!! he answered every question i asked, and believe me i had a lot being a rookie! he did not once pressure me into buying anything. i walked in there expecting to spend a few hundred dollars, if not more, but only ended up spending $70. i work in sales and no how people can take advantage of new clients. i easily waked in there with a huge target on my back reading sucker, instead i was treated like i was a long time friend. so in customer service this place goes above and beyond. now for the selction of everything fish and related to fish.....this place has everything!!!!!!!!!! not just everything, but options galore! their prices are great, comparing to other stores, even the major pet stores. i have been shopping around and no one can beat this place with the amount of options. not until i was about to check out did i realize there was a second half to this place. they basically split the store in half. one side is for salt water, the other for fresh water. ican go on and on about how AMAZING this place is, but you will just have to visit it yourself.they have me as a loyal customer!!!! you don't have to waste your time going anywhere else( walmart, pet supermarket, petco, petsmart, or any other privately owned aquarium shop), this is a one stop shop, i promise!!!!!!!

Place is beautiful. Clean. Healthy fish. Service is very good. Lots of supplies and products in stock. Knowledgeable staff. Can't think of anything that needs improving.

The service I got there was bad. I want to get some supplies from the store there. I asked a couple of questions. They asked were I got the stuff I already had. I told them from somewhere else. They started saying the stuff wouldn't work and that I need to purchase different pumps and lights from him. After that I left. The stuff I have had has worked fine for the last 4 years. I didn't tell him that. He was to busy trying to sell stuff I didn't need. NOT TRUSTWORTHY

I have had nothing but success in building my 220 REEF Tank from this place. Knew nothing to begin with about fish keeping. All people at Poseidon are very knowledgeble and helpful. They did nothing but educate me and encourage me to build the dream tank our family was looking for. Now, we enjoy and KNOW ALOT ABOUT reef keeping thanks to POSEIDON AQUARIUM. Many thanks !!

This is the only store I will go to. They have a great selection of fish for freshwater and saltwater. I have 7 tanks in my house so this is one-stop shopping for me. Their fish are all healthy, the tanks are clean, and the place itself is clean and well cared for. I've never had a problem with the fish, in fact it's the only place I've ever been to that actually puts a date on the saltwater fish so you know when they came in! They have everything in that place - including all the light bulbs I need for my reef tanks. I've gone to other stores but they don't have the stuff you need in stock. I look forward to going there. They are reasonably priced too. If you don't go there, you are missing out.

Have no idea what the other raters are talking about. I suspect they are not true aquarists and have no idea what they are doing. It's your responsibility to care for your stuff. You can't expect any store to give you your money back on a fish that you take home and kill - either by poor water quality or other fish in your tank. I have been going to this place for YEARS, and buy all my stuff only from this store. I have to drive 40 minutes to get there but it is worth it. They are helpful, knowledgeable and they have a full supply of everything you need - lighting, corals, chemicals, food, frozen food etc. They have a very nice large selection of fish - and lots of stuff no one else carries. The store is fully stocked whenever I go, and the prices are reasonable. I have shopped around. They also have such a nice freshwater selection I am thingking about setting one up just because the selection appeals to me. If you want to see the ONLY decent fish store in the area - go there.

Picked up a fish and some food supplements for around $100. 2 days later the fish I got died and nuked my reef with Ich. they claim the fish mush have been bullied to death, everyone that saw the fish both online and in person in the short time it was alive said they sold me a dead fish. it was seriously skinny, had a problem with its mouth and was not eating well, and had ich to boot. I confronted them about the poor condition of the animal and they would do NOTHING as far as even a partial refund or store credit . . . they actually had the balls to tell me "I shouldn't have bought it". beware this store.

I BOUGHT A FISH ON WEDS TOOK IT HOME AND BY MORNING IT WAD DEAD .WHEN I CALL THEM TO TELL THEM THAT THE FISH HAD DIED THEY SAID IT HAD TO BE MY TANK THAT THE WATER WAS NO GOOD NEVER ASKED WHAT HAPPEN TO THE FISH THEY BLAMED THE WATER . SO BEFORE I TOOK THE FISH TO THEM TO SEE I HAD THE WATER TESTES SOME WERE BEFORE I GOT TO THEM THE OTHER FISH STORE SAID THE WATER WAS FINE .... SO I GO TO POSIDON THEY TEST THE WATER SAID IT WAS NO GOOD TO MUCH AMONIA

. THE I TOLD THEM WHAT THE OTHER FISH STORE SAID . ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE STORY CHANGED AND THEY STARTED TO BLAME THE OTHER FISH FOR STRESSING IT OUT A LONG STORY SHORT THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME SO I WENT THE FISH STORE(PET SUPERMARKET) AND BOUT ABOUT $100. WORTH OF MORE FISH AND NEVER HAS A PROBLEM MY FISH LIVE HAPPLY EVER AFTER SO FOR A 20 DOLLOR FISH THEY REALLY LOST ALOT OF BUISNESS DAMMED IN DELTONA !!!!!!!!!!!!1

Ok first these two seemed shady to me from the start in how they would bash the other stores but then not offer any real reasons on why i shouldnt do something and eventually say yeah itll work as i asked questions. Anyway heres my situation. I bough a fish from them put it in a cycling aquarium and the nitrites spiked. They offered to keep it there for me and i brought it back(it was getting some red irritation just under its scales that looked like blood). I had a feeling that it wouldnt be there the next day and unfortunately i was right. Now heres whats real suspicious to me first thing i noticed when i got the fish back from the freezer was the tail was torn my fish didnt have that type of tail. Second the red was gone which means either it cleared up overnight then it died (doesnt make much sense to me) or it was put in the freezer alive(when somethings dead it freezes as it looks the body doesnt change to temperature). The biggest thing to me is the fact that he claimed it was floating when he came in but there was sand pressed caked to its fin on one side and a little on the other. Not sure how hard it is to get a dead floating fish off the top of the tank without scooping up your sand. I honestly believe they either swapped my fish on me or euthinized it. Another story i heard from someone a little too late was how they sold him a cleaner shrimp claiming it would have no problem in his tank with the fish he had and within 5 minutes it was food. They just said they cant be held responsible. Be cautious in your dealings with these two.
