Christmas is the best time of the year. You may know this as a festive jingle, but to me it is a mantra. I drove across the state to shop at Michaels for new decorations, specifically for tinsel and a new Lemax Christmas Village Set. This year they came out with a new Candy Cane Works and I had to have it. I walked into the holiday section of the store and was bombarded with decor for Halloween - SATANS HOLIDAY. A pumpkin here, a skeleton there - orange and black colors everywhere and little red and white! I searched nearly every aisle to find help and eventually found an employee (if she can call herself that after management reads this!) The air became thicker and thicker with the stench of coffee with every step towards her - I prefer herbal tea. Despite several throat clearings I was ignored like some peasant. She continued to slowly stock yarn on the shelf THEN this girl began to laugh like a crazy person. This traumatic crafts store visit WAS NOT FUNNY. She finally looked at me and removed her headphones which I had not immediately noticed. LISTENING TO MUSIC AT WORK IS NOT APPROPRIATE. I let her know how I felt about the overabundance of pagan trinkets and asked her where the Candy Cane Works was located. THEN this employee had the audacity to mumble, "I don't work here..." She had this smug little grin on her face and what looked like peanut butter in the cracks of her lips. DIS-GUS-TING. She TURNED AND WALKED AWAY. THE NERVE. Needless to say, I didn't return home with my new ornaments. AS GOD AS MY WITNESS I WILL NEVER return to this craft store again. It's a temple to the wicked and run by heathens.
