I have done business with John for over 20 years now, and always found him and his staff very friendly and professional. John is truly top shelf!

I do not recommend Martin's Coins & Jewelry to anyone!! I went in mid-afternoon a few days ago to sell some estate jewelry passed down through my family, and have some coins appraised as well.
The moment I walked in, there was disorder, and what almost felt like chaos. John Martin, the owner, was sitting at his desk at the end of the shop, and did not greet me, neither did any of the other workers. Instead, I got a judgemental stare, and NO one bothered to pay attention or acknowledge that I was there. I sat patiently for about 45 minutes on the couch, NOT ONCE did anyone ask how I could be helped, or that someone would be with me momentarily.
I ended up leaving, and must say that this business is unprofessional, disorganized, no personal skills were demonstrated and I would NOT trust their word on any of my jewelry or coins.
I am truly disappointed, and from what I observed for those 45 minutes, John Martin has little social skills, obviously does not care about patrons and having regular customers, or the name of his business. There was disrespect and an unprofessional attifude from the moment I walked in.

I have dealt with Mr. Martin about a dozen times or so. He and John Kirby are very good and fair. They offer a good return for your legitimate gold and silver items.
My objection is that Mr. Martin will panic if you bring in items frequently. He will refuse to buy from you, if he has an the slightest fear of where you've gotten them. Reasonable, I suppose, but he will embarrass you in front of other customers to get rid of you. He also criticises his assistant's buying mistakes in front of customers. That, is a big no-no for me.

If you want personal and professional service talk to John Martin. He will advise you on purchasing or selling and give you incite on market trends. I always wanted to be an investor and now, thanks to John, I am in the market. I would recommend Martin's Coins to all my friends and family and even brought my mom down. She was thrilled to walk out with a nice check for old coins and jewelry she had thought was worthless. See for yourself!

I went to other businesses in area, then i went to Martins coin. Night and day bigger pay outs, friendly service The other "coin dealers" need to just shut down. Martins is the best, hands down

I have found Mr. Martin to be an extremely fair and honest business man. His shop pays the best returns around for Gold and Silver scraps, and they have a great selection of time pieces and other merchandise available.
