Founded in 1928, St. Matthew Cathedral School is an educational institution that offers a variety of academic and recreational options for the intellectual, physical and social development of more than 350 students in kindergarten through grade eight. It provides classes in music, science, physical education, Spanish and art. The school maintains a work force of over 30 employees, including teachers and support staff. It organizes several athletic activities, such as football, soccer, volleyball, softball, wrestling, baseball, cheerleading, and track and field. The school serves milk, salads, burgers, pizzas, sausage, chicken and French fries for lunch. St. Matthew Cathedral School operates a student council and is located in South Bend, Ind.
