I have lived at the Mar-Main for a few years now. There have been changes for the better. The building is secure and there at awesome tenants that live here.

I would highly recommend the Mar-Main Apartments. I have lived here since 2000, there have been changes in the office and maintenance. The building is secure and safe.

Not so safe anymore! They had to change all the locks recently. And theft is a large problem here now. Don't plan on going outside after dark because of shootings frequently in the area. Ambulance and Police sirens all night because of the proximity to the hospital, and the helcopters flying directly over the building make it a less-than-peaceful atmosphere. The worse thing is NO AIR CONDITIONING in the building. If you want to add a window unit its $25-$50 more a month. And don't get more than a 5000 BTU unit or it blows all the fuses in the unit! Yikes-doing laundry there in the summer is a nightmare. It's a pet-friendly place. But that also means BUGS BUGS BUGS-the pest patrol comes every month to spray your apartment. Evening office staff is rude and unhelpful. If you locik yourself out it's $80 to be let back in, even if they are there. The office hours are very limited, and repairs aren't done unless without a hassle. I pay $450 for a single and it is SMALL! No views, No A/C,
