Operational since 1960, AWS is a human service agency that serves people throughout the United States. The organization provides direct care services to more than 7,000 infants, children and adults with disabilities. Its services include community and supported living and family support, as well as employment and affordable housing. AWS additionally owns and operates over 15 group homes that have a staff of trained and professional nurses, social workers and managers. The organization s other services include music and recreation therapies. It also offers various workshops for vocational training and skill development.
