Founded in 1982, Peninsula Trucking, a full-service transportation company, is one of the largest less-than-truckload specialized foliage carriers in Florida. The company provides its services to customers on a nationwide basis. All Peninsula Trucking equipment is satellite tracked and it utilizes Nextel two-way communications systems to maintain constant contact with its drivers. The company operates in excess of 85 tractors. Its fleet of more than 100 trailers includes 48-foot and 53-foot reefers and flatbeds. Peninsula also has a brokerage department that can place a variety of freight with reliable outside carriers. Peninsula Trucking maintains its corporate and operational headquarters in Sorrento, Fla.
