Tuolumne County Building and Safety Division is responsible for overseeing the general safety of all construction of residential, commercial and industrial structures in the area of Tuolumne County. Based in Sonora, Calif., the department reviews building permits for all construction and remodeling projects. It also responds to a variety of structural and safety related issues. Tuolumne County Building and Safety Division provides inspection services for building permits issued. In addition, the department inspects the installations of water service, electrical mains and gas piping.
