Attorney Joseph F. Hennessey has a unique background and understanding in criminal defense cases. His educational background includes a B.S. in Law Enforcement, M.S. in Criminal Justice Administration and a Jurist Doctorate with a focus in Criminal Law. His professional background includes 23 years in law enforcement. He spent 7 1/2 years working as an undercover narcotics officer with the Tri-County Drug Task Force, Metro West Drug Task Force, and the Waltham Police Drug Unit. He has attended numerous drunk driving enforcement courses taught by the NHTSA, Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training and the Massachusetts State Police along with Narcotics Enforcement training classes by D.E.A. and the Massachusetts State Police. He participated in 100's of drunk driving and Drug arrests and administered hundreds of breath tests. He understands the inaccuracies of the field sobriety tests and breath tests. He also understands the tactical handling of criminal investigations by the police. He was also a certified sexual assault investigator along with training in homicide investigations, fingerprinting and crime scene search taught by the FBI, Massachusetts State Police and the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council. Attorney Hennessey's focus in law is not only criminal defense, but also family law, juvenile law, civil litigation, and immigration. He is admitted in Massachusetts and Federal District Court
