General Practitioners

• Arthritis
  We can treat carpal tunnel, diabetic neuropathy and ulcers, frozen shoulders, fibromyalgia and some types of arthritis with the laser. Since introducing the laser, I have seen patients have lasting improvement with conditions as diverse as dermatitis to the  hand stiffness associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Responses do vary from person to person and not everyone will improve with the laser. Sometimes adequate results are achieved in one or two sessions and sometimes it takes six or more sessions. Depending on the area involved a treatment can last for between 1 to 15 minutes. You usually feel no significant sensation during the treatment as the energy level of the laser is very low. On the other hand, there is often minor to significant improvement in symptoms before leaving the office.
• Fibromyalgia
  Neurofeedback is an alternative approach to dealing with certain illnesses that are associated with brain function.  With it we can treat a wide array of conditions such as panic attacks and anxiety, attention deficit disorder, fibromyalgia, post traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and explosive personality disorder.  This can allow people to have enough improvement so that they will be able to avoid medication or have less need for medication.  (It would never be my intention to stop any medicine or ongoing psychotherapy prior to seeing successful improvement with neurofeedback).

  We only process referrals for patients currently under our care.  If you are not an established patient, we will be unable to give you a referral.  Assigning Davis Square Family Practice as your primary care physician does not mean you are a patient in our practice.  You become a patient after you have been evaluated in person by one of our providers.

We will not collect any personal information from you that you do not volunteer, and we are the sole owner of all information collected on this site. We do not sell, share, or rent this information to others in any way that we have not mentioned in this statement.
• Emergency Care
  If you have an urgent medical situation during non-office hours, call our office and the answering service message will provide the number of the on-call physician.  For routine questions and refill requests, we ask you please call the office on the next business day or leave a message.

  I received my bachelor degree in nursing from the University of Michigan and my Master of Science degree, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Regis College.  Before joining Davis Square Family Practice, I was a nurse at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston for 11 years and a nurse practitioner at Sports Medicine North, Occupational Health in Peabody.   Both were challenging, educational, and rewarding experiences.
