New Enterprise s products include stone, ready-mix, precast concrete, sand and lime. The company serves as a building materials supplier and a highway contractor and works on projects, such as new bridges, road construction and paving. Some major projects it has worked on or supplied materials for are Beaver Stadium at Penn State University, a highway bridge in Mount Union, Pa., and the Loysburg, Pa., bypass. Founded in 1924, New Enterprise Stone & Lime is headquartered in New Enterprise, Pa., and it operates a quarry and a plant near Somerset, Pa. Its subsidiaries include Buffalo Crushed Stone in New York, Martin Limestone in eastern Pennsylvania and Valley Quarries in south central Pennsylvania.
