While I am never thrilled about hearing 'bad news' (in this case, things 'wrong' with our perspective 'new house'), I am so grateful to hear the issues exist so we can be proactive and make an informed choice about our purchase. This information has also been used by us as a negotiating tool during the purchase process. He has now made it on to our yearly holiday card list! I'd invite him over for Thanksgiving too - if he didn't live so far away! Yes! He drove FOUR hours to do one of the inspections for us!
