  Ms. Nicholson’s practice is currently concentrated in the areas of collaborative divorce and family mediation. Through her experience acting as an attorney for children, guardian and guardian ad litem in the Westchester and Putnam, Family, Supreme and Surrogates Courts, Ms. Nicholson is keenly aware of the need to protect the rights of children and the disabled. She can offer clients options with respect to parenting plans that can be tailored to families’ individual needs, including, for example, parents striving to formulate a plan that serves not only their special needs child but the whole family.

  Ms. Nicholson opened her practice in Somers, New York in 2007. Prior to private practice, Ms. Nicholson was employed as staff attorney at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley where she represented domestic violence victims in the Family and Supreme courts, assisting clients in obtaining orders of protection and advocating on their behalf in custody, visitation, child/spousal support and divorce proceedings.
