Dining at Root 246 is definitely a positive experience overall. That especially applies to the positively delicious food! Wow. But don’t go there thinking the main course will fill you up. It won’t. Portions are definitely on the small side, which both my wife and I were disappointed about. (Especially as good as it was!) Plan to order appetizers and such if you want to leave feeling satiated. Yes, this does add to the price tag, of course.



Noise level could be lower to make the atmosphere nicer.



This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but your taste buds will be very happy with you for spending the money. Value received for money spent!



The music is not the best for dining. Made me wonder if the owners are aware of the psychological studies showing that more soothing music is best for the digestion, regardless of whatever one normally would listen to in the car or at home.



I also personally advise not passing up the desert. Just as delicious as the hot food.

A group of us had a reservation and we ended up ordering drinks and appetizers in the lounge. We only received two drinks when the server began ignoring us and told us we couldn't be served anymore. She never explained why so we requested to see a manager. She blew us off and didn't get him for a long time. As we were walking out we found him. He gave us no reason, rolled his eyes at us (he really did this), and was VERY rude. He never apologized. I am very disappointed in this place. I would recommend to NEVER go here if you would be liked to be treated with respect. I've worked in customer service for 10+ years and I have never seen people who want to keep their jobs act like this.
