Joseph F. Keithley founded Keithley Instruments in 1946 in a small workshop in Cleveland, Ohio. It designs, develops, manufactures and markets electronic instruments and systems geared to electronics manufacturers for high-performance production testing, process monitoring, product development and research. The company has nearly 500 products that are used to source, measure, connect, control or communicate direct current, radio frequency or optical signals. Its product offerings include integrated systems solutions, along with instruments and personal computer plug-in boards that can be used as system components or stand-alone solutions. The Company's customers are engineers, technicians and scientists in manufacturing, product development and research functions. Keithley Instruments has headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio; and operates direct sales and support offices in 13 countries and provides sales representatives in more than 80 countries.
