I recently purchased a model home in San Marcos, CA area from Hallmark Communities. Overall Home Design is good, but my model home was overpriced and most of the upgrade estimates (provided by Hallmark Sales) are very high $$. Hallmark verbally promised me to cover 2 years of HOA before closing the escrow - but later they completely denied the fact. After Sale Service and Every Maintenance fix is a horrible experience to me (still going on). I would NOT recommend this builder for new homes at all.
