The City Hall, governed by The City of Smyrna in Georgia, houses a human resources department to plan, develop, implement and administer various risk management functions and programs for other departments. The department offers a range of retirement and pension programs, as well as short- and long-term disability coverage solutions. The city government s public works department is responsible for residential sanitation, traffic engineering and fleet management functions. In addition, it operates a parks and recreation department that provides opportunities to participate in several types of leisure and sports activities. The city government s finance department specializes in long-term planning, billing collection, funds disbursement, and financial reporting and budgeting services.
