Smithsburg High School was founded in 1965 and serves more than 900 students in grades nine through 12. The school provides studies in wide range of subjects, such as technology education, business, computers, language arts, world languages, fine arts, social studies and mathematics. It offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, wrestling, soccer, track, tennis, lacrosse, golf, volleyball, cross country, football and baseball.
