Hardy Elementary School, located in Smithfield, Va., offers educational programs to more than 400 students in grades prekindergarten through three. Its curriculum includes subjects, such as language arts, English, mathematics, foreign languages, and health and physical education. The school has a library and undertakes behavior management programs for students. Its guidance department provides assistance to students in achieving their academic goals. In addition, the school undertakes a literacy program that promotes book discussion, cooperative learning, and reading, artistic, study and problem solving skills. It also organizes various competitive games. The school is a part of the Isle of Wight County Schools.
