It is not "the best Japanese steak house, period". However, it is very good and it is clearly the best in the area. there is a japenese steak house in Garner that quite plainly, sucks. I, and my wife, absolutely love going to Kobe in Smithfield.

My first visit, my only visit. We had a party of 16 including 1 child;6 years old, was gonna charge a sitting fee for him to sit at the table. NO Customer service, NO reasoning, and also the bar lady was very rude, we had to wait for everyone to get there and a couple of the guys wanted a beer while they waited and she told them it would be 20 minutes before she could grab them a beer..I nor my family will ever go back.It was not a pleasant experience at all, as we all got up and left so at say $20. a head x 15 people plus tips, wouldn't you think they would have eaten that $6. sitting fee for the 6 year old...Big Mistake

The parking is great, the service is wonderful. Always a great show with dinner. The food is reasonably priced and excellent.
