I only visited him one time. I was placed on drugs for depression that made me bump into walls and in which I lost 4 days of my life. I can't remember what happened on those days. After my husband called in a panic to see what he should do, he was informed to immediately take me off the medicine. A few days later I received a letter stating that this doctor was dropping me. .

I found Dr Mangat in Bogalusa, La., as the medical director at Magnolia Behavioral Healthcare which also has a clinic on Tuesday and Thursday. Dr. Mangat is very knowledgeable, and explained to me why I feel the way I do and how the medications work. He explained the side effects I should watch for and when to call. His staff is helpful and nice. When I call I always get the help I need.While I sat in the lobby awaiting my appointment the other patients were all talking about Dr Mangat and I thought this would be a good time to see how others felt about him, nothing but good was said. None the less I was surprised of the high regard all the other patients had for him. I would recommend him to my friends.

I used Dr. Mangat in the past when I was in the hospital. I did follow up with him as my doctor only because he was the only psychiatrist I knew.When I would mention him to people that I work with they all agreed that he was a compassionate doctor that they would recommend. Some worked with him in the hospital and knew the kind of work he does. If a nurse recommends a doctor that they know, he has to be good.

Dr. Mangat is a great psychiatrist. He explained to me about my bipolar disorder, the medications that I will be taking and side effects that I should watch for. I appreciated the time he took with me and I never felt rushed. He explained to my family the diagnosis after asking my permission. Although he was a little hard to understand, he made sure everything was understood before I left. I would recommend Dr. Mangat to anyone that asks.

My mother recommended Dr. Mangat. She saw him before Katrina. After Katrina I found him in Bogalusa, La. He is a very compassionate doctor who listens. He is so calm and serene, taking the time to tell me a little of himself. I never felt inferior, he made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He never rushed me or handed me a handful of prescriptions with the order to make another appointment. Depression is nothing to be ashamed of, in fact I learned a lot about depression from Dr. Mangat. I would recommend Dr. Mangat to my friends and/or family if so needed.

I have used Dr. Mangat. I would recommend to him to anybody that asks. A very very compassionate doctor. The world needs more of his kind. I heard about Dr. Mangat from my mother in law, since she liked him I knew I would.

I love Dr. Mangat. He is a very knowledgeable and compassionate person. He understands medication and takes the time to explain, rather than just handing a prescription over with orders to make another appointment. He takes his time to explain the nessersity of tests he has ordered, the reason he ordered one mediction over another and any side affects that I may have and when to worry about them. I thought I had lost him as my doctor after Katrina but, I was lucky. Dr. Mangat is now located in Bogalusa La, at Magnolia Behavioral Healthcare.
