- Deep Tissue MassageDiathermy is a deep heating treatment that is most effective in heating tissues of deep joints. It is helpful in improving the distensibility of connective tissue, which facilitates stretching. Diathermy machines utilize high or low frequency heat waves that are transmitted to the surrounding tissue and vasculature, penetrating the muscles to cause deep tissue and muscle warming. This promotes tissue relaxation and therefore is useful in treating muscle tightness and spasms. The warming effect of the heat waves also cause the blood vessels to dilate, which increases circulation to the areas needing healing.
- Electrical Muscle StimulationEMS works by stimulating muscles by means of tiny electric impulses. These impulses travel to the body from the EMS unit via electrode pads which are attached to the body. Timers on the unit rhythmically contract and relax the muscles, allowing you to tone or work muscles.
- Intersegmental TractionDTS Triton spinal traction therapy in conjunction with the additional treatment modalities provided in our clinic can, in most cases, effectively relieve the pain and disability resulting from disc injury and degeneration, aiding in the healing of damaged discs and reversing dystrophic changes in nerves. DTS Triton spinal traction treats the functional and mechanical aspects of the disc pain through non-surgical traction (decompression) of spinal discs.
- SubluxationThe most common interference of the flow of information throughout the nervous system is a “subluxation,” more commonly known as a “pinched nerve.” A pinched nerve occurs when a vertebra slips off the elastic disc that cushions it against the vertebra below. This misaligned vertebra then presses down on the nerve — pinching it, and the nervous system is consequently no longer able to transmit as efficiently as before the messages from the brain to the rest of the body, and this results is loss of function, especially impairment of the immune system. Pinched nerves, therefore, can lower the body’s resistance to infection, disease and disability.
- Manipulation TherapyYes! As more of the benefits and safety of spinal manipulation are made public, it is becoming more universally recognized as a safe and effective choice for the care of back problems.
- Spinal DecompressionDo you have a herniated disc, multiple herniated discs, degenerative disc disease or facet syndrome? Is your doctor suggesting surgery, pain management, or physical therapy? Call for a free consultation about our spinal treatment programs.
- Disc Herniation TreatmentDisc herniation can also cause sciatica. Discs are the “shock absorbers” between the vertebrae of the spine. They are cartilage-like cushions that occupy the spaces between the vertebrae which allow the back to turn and bend normally. If you’ve been injured in a car accident, or from a fall, one or more of your discs may now be bulging out one side of the spine. This is what is called a “slipped disk,” or disc herniation.
