The Sioux Council of The Boy Scouts of America is an educational program for boys and young adults to build character and develop personal fitness. Located in Sioux Falls, S.D., The Boy Scouts of America provides year-round family- and home-centered programs that encourage the decision-making skills in boys between the ages of 7 and 17. Its Tiger Cubs program emphasizes leadership, community learning and family understanding. The Boy Scouts of America s Cub Scouts program offers several activities that emphasize character development and citizenship training programs. The parent organization, established in 1910, has partnerships with government bodies, corporations, professional associations, and religious, educational, civic, fraternal, business and labor organizations. Its scout camps are inspected and accredited annually by teams of trained volunteers to ensure the health, safety and quality of programs for campers. The Boy Scouts of America s Varsity Scouting program offers adventure and personal development services for youths between the ages of 14 and 17.
