Meier Body Shop and Towing was founded in 1951 by Clarence and Lena Meier to provide fast top quality towing and body shop services to the Siouxland community. Clarence believed in using the most cutting edge tools or equipment that was available for the towing industry. Meier Towing was the first to have tow trucks with hydraulic booms and flatbed tow trucks in the Sioux City area. To maintain the high level of service Meier Towing sends it's people to industry specific outside training courses as well as in house training. All of Meier Towing's driver force is certified either thru the Towing and Recovery Association of America or Wreckmaster Inc. Jeff is a TRAA level 3 Heavyduty Specialist, a Wreckmaster level 6/7, was recongnized as a Top Ten Wreckmaster of 2010. Jeff was also nominated by the Sioux City Police Department to receive the American Towman Order of Towman Medal in 2011. Fast 24 Hour Service Heavy Duty Towing and Recovery Our 4 heavy duty tow trucks are ready to serve you at a moments notice. We can tow and recover straight trucks to tractor-trailers. Also pull starting of trucks. Our tow trucks and equipment can shift loads that the road has put out of place on your trailer. We can deck and undeck trucks and trailers. We can travel as far as you need your truck to go coast to coast. We have handled tractor trailers as heavy as 160,000 lbs. Flatbed Towing We have 2 lightduty flatbed tow trucks, 1 medium duty flatbed tow truck, and 1 sliding axle tractor trailer. The lightduty flatbeds can haul your exoitc car tying it down by the tires not even touching the car itself. Our mediumduty flatbed can haul cars to light construction equipment to forklifts. The sliding axle tractor trailer can haul equipment weighing up to 40,000 lbs. Light Duty Towing and Recovery 6 light duty tow trucks are ready to serve you. We can jumpstart, unlock, provide gas, change your flat tire or tow your car or pick-up truck. All of our light duty tow trucks are auto load equipt for fast damage free service in any weather.
