The store's founder, R.W. Kollman, learned the refrigeration trade in the 1940's and began selling major appliances in the 1950's. Helen Kollman joined her husband in the business and the mom and pop enterprise began to grow. The business is currently owned by their son, John Kollman, who joined the family business full time in 1977 after selling appliances in Omaha and graduating from the University of Nebraska in Omaha in business. The dedication to customer service has remained a hallmark at Kollman Appliance. As the only remaining locally owned and operated full-service appliance dealer in the Siouxland area our loyal customer base continues to expand. We are proud of our ability to provide free delivery within a 30 mile radius as well as service after the sale. Over the years Kollman Appliance has evolved into a full-line GE Showcase dealer. We are home to the GE Monogram, GE Profile, GE Cafe, and Hotpoint appliance lines, which can be viewed firsthand in our state-of-the-art showroom. We strive to be the first to offer the latest and greatest and have it on display for our customers to see. By being a full-line appliance store we feel that we are able to serve the customer better by being able to offer many options of appliances to meet any lifestyle or budget.
