Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school is part of Montgomery County Public Schools, which is one of the largest school systems in the United States. The school system operates more than 130 elementary schools, over 35 middle schools and nearly 20 high schools. Montgomery County Public Schools also governs career and technology centers and alternative educational facilities. The district serves more than 130,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12.
