Founded in 1953, St. Mark's Cathedral School is an Episcopal school in Shreveport, LA, serving boys and girls from age two through eighth grade. Our strong curriculum, coupled with small class sizes and age-appropriate worship and religion classes for all students, ensures that we nurture each student's heart and mind. St. Mark's is a ministry of St. Mark's Cathedral in the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana, is fully accredited by the Southwest Association of Episcopal Schools (SAES), and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES).

The YK-3 or Young K-3 class is a three or five day offering for those children who will turn three by late winter and who are toilet trained. The K-3 classes offer three and five day options for students turning four during the school year or or following summer. Students continue to build upon skills developed in the preschool (White House), transitioning into the SuperKids reading program and continuing with the established Handwriting Without Tears and Harcourt Hands-On Math. Enrichment is offered in art, Christian education, computers, library, music, physical education, science lab, and Spanish. Grades 6-8 include a base knowledge of Mathematics to develop skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions. Science includes Physical science, Life Science, and prep for college level biology. Spanish begins in the lower grades and is continued through middle school or the beginning of French as a foreign language. Christian Education includes three survey courses for grades 6-8.
