- Dental ExaminationMaintaining oral health includes attentive home care and regular visits to our office for preventive care, which includes oral examinations and cleanings. Comprehensive examinations of the mouth, teeth, surrounding gum tissues, and supporting bone structures help with early detection and treatment of problematic conditions.
- X-rays
- Teeth CleaningA dental cleaning, also known as oral prophylaxis, is the removal of dental plaque and tartar (calculus) from the teeth. Specialized instruments are used to gently remove these deposits without harming the teeth. First, an ultrasonic device that emits vibrations and is cooled by water is used to loosen larger pieces of tartar. Next, hand tools are used to manually remove smaller deposits and smooth the tooth surfaces.
- Fluoride TreatmentFluoride is a natural substance that helps strengthen teeth and prevent decay. Fluoride treatments are administered at this office as an important component of pediatric dental treatment. The fluoride is applied to the teeth in a gel, foam, or varnish form.
- Dental SealantsDental sealants are made of a safe resin material which is applied to the surfaces of teeth (commonly permanent molars) to prevent cavities. The sealant material fills in the crevices of a tooth and “seals” off the tooth from cavity-causing agents like food and plaque. The teeth are prepared for the sealant application and the sealant is painted directly onto the chewing surface of each tooth and then hardens. Sealants are applied in one visit.

- Resin CompositePeriodontal splinting is done to stabilize teeth that have become loose as a result of bone loss due to periodontal disease. The doctor will determine if periodontal splints are needed, as sometimes careful management of the periodontal disease causes the teeth to become more stable. Periodontal splints may use stabilizing wire or ribbon, composite resin, crowns, inlays/onlays, and/or veneers to accomplish the goal of stabilizing the teeth.
- VeneersPorcelain veneers are thin pieces of porcelain used to recreate the natural appearance of teeth. To place a veneer, a thin layer of the original tooth enamel must be removed. Afterward, an adhesive layer is placed between the prepared tooth and the veneer. The adhesive is then hardened with the use of a specialized curing light. Learn more about Veneers
- CrownsThanks to advances in dental technology, crowns no longer have to be a multi-visit process. CEREC® technology makes it possible to create and place crowns in one day.
- BridgesAn implant supported bridge is a restorative solution for spaces where three or more adjacent teeth are missing. This restoration typically requires two implants to support the porcelain bridge. The bridge provides a functional and aesthetic replacement for a patient’s natural teeth.
- Dental BondingCosmetic bonding is the process of filling or restoring teeth with a tooth-colored material in order to improve a tooth’s appearance. In order to bond a tooth, composite material is added to the tooth structure to adjust the size, shape, or color of the existing tooth. Learn more about Cosmetic Bonding
- Restorative DentistryEven with excellent care, however, teeth and gums can be susceptible to disease, infection, cavities, cracks, or other forms of damage. Restorative dentistry repairs the function and integrity of the tooth structure, function, and health while maintaining a natural appearance.
- Root Canal TreatmentThis device is used to obtain the proper length of the root canal, from which the doctor can determine the position of the file relative to the apex of the root. This can help ensure that the canal is completely free of debris, reducing potential future complications.
- Deep Cleaning
- DenturesFor patients missing many or all of their teeth, implant retained or implant supported dentures may be an alternative to traditional dentures. These solutions can simulate the look and feel of natural teeth and stay fixed in place with the implants acting as anchors. Using implants for retention or the support of dentures allows for a smaller and more comfortable base and less shifting of the prosthesis during use.
- Dental ImplantsDental implants are small anchors made of a biocompatible metal called titanium that are placed in the jawbone. Dental implants are the replacement of tooth roots in the mouth. Once placed, the anchors begin to fuse with the bone over the course of a few months. After the fusing process, known as osseointegration, abutment posts are inserted into the anchors to allow for the permanent attachment of the replacement teeth.
- Oral SurgeryWhile at the University of Pennsylvania, I was accepted into the hospital dentistry honors program. This gave me the opportunity to take first year medical courses at the University's medical school, as well as a dental and medical externship at HUP (Hospital University of Pennsylvania). The program emphasized general dentistry, oral surgery and oral medicine. I also did a summer externship in dentistry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park.
- Osseous SurgeryA pocket depth reduction is a surgical procedure used to smooth and reshape affected bone under the gum tissue. This procedure is performed when a pocket around a tooth (or teeth) has not responded to other treatments.
- Tooth Extractions
- Bone GraftingRidge preservation involves placing a regenerative bone grafting material into empty tooth sockets to rebuild bone where an extraction has left an empty, weakened area. This process encourages your body’s natural capacity to regenerate bone.
- BracesIf you or your child participates in sports, it’s important to have a custom mouth guard to protect the teeth and jaw from injury. Mouth guards are especially important for patients with orthodontic braces. We take an impression of your teeth, then create a device fitted to your mouth for a more comfortable fit, easier breathing, and better protection. Preventing injury is much more budget-friendly than repairing the damage caused by facial trauma.
- Teeth WhiteningOver time, teeth will naturally lose their brightness and their color will fade. Drinking coffee or tea, or using tobacco, as well as certain childhood medications can cause teeth to discolor or darken even faster than normal. Whitening, also known as bleaching, is the procedure used to brighten teeth. Learn more about Teeth Whitening

- General DentistryIn 1998, I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, I enrolled in a one-year advanced education of general dentistry at SUNY at Stony Brook, School of Dental Medicine where I was enriched professionally in all specialties of dentistry and had extensive training in restoring dental implants. While in dental school I was awarded the Delta Sigma Delta buffalo chapter award for initiative, attitude, and general excellence in operative dentistry.
