The department provides fire inspection and investigation services for residential and commercial properties. It also offers safety tips and related information on smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, hydrants and alarm systems. The department supports the National Safe Kids Campaign. The Sherwood Fire Department is governed by the City of Sherwood, which also operates animal services, police, public works, and parks and recreation departments.
