The Parks and Recreation Department of the city of Sherwood, Ark., provides a variety of programs that include sports leagues, physical fitness training, aquatics classes, after-school care and summer day camps. The department also maintains the city s parks, pools, a youth center, tennis center, library and a recreation center. Its parks include various facilities, such as playground structures, picnic areas, pavilions, restrooms, an outdoor swimming pool, and basketball and tennis courts. The department also provides a range of other amenities that include fishing piers, gazebos and swing sets. The Parks and Recreation Department also provides educational and recreational services through several programs and events.
